Greg Craig Steps Down as White House Chief Counsel

After fending off rumors of his departure for months, Greg Craig has decided to resign as President Obama’s head lawyer. Craig, who was heavily involved in policy discussions involving Guantanamo Bay and the revision of administration policies on torture and other interrogation methods, will leave his post as of January 3rd. Robert Bauer, Obama’s personal lawyer, is rumored to be his replacement.
