Baker Botts’ Jordan Heads Back To The Middle East

Baker Botts partner and former U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Robert W. Jordan is heading back to the region as the partner in charge of the firm’s Middle East offices.

Jordan will replace the firm’s previous partner in charge, David Emmons, who served three years in the role and will return to Baker Botts’ Dallas office.

Jordan was appointed Ambassador to Saudi Arabia in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks by President George W. Bush. He served in the role until 2003 and returned to Baker Botts the following year.
