Bob Bauer the White House Counsel is quitting his job. He has worked as the personal lawyer to President Barack Obama and his 2008 campaign; he was also a legal advisor to the Democratic National Committee. He is returning to the Washington, D.C. Branch of the Seattle-based Perkins Coie law firm. This firm is known for representing such companies as Puget Sound & Light Co. and Boeing. Kathryn Ruemmler will replace Bauer, is currently the principal deputy counsel. During the Clinton administration she also served in this office.
