The texts of Scientology in Russia are considered an extremist material and a Shchyolkovo town court effectively banned them in Russia. The court observes that the materials by L Ron Hubbard are creating an isolated social group and has banned “What is Scientology” and 24 other essays, the distribution of which will be inciting hatred and punishable by imprisonment up to 5 years.
