ACLU challenges Alabama’s HB-56 on 4th Amendment grounds

The controversial Alabama Law, HB-56 violates the Fourth Amendment of Federal Law by subjecting U.S citizens and non-citizens who are in the U.S with permission, to unreasonable searches and seizures. This is a pervasive and systematic targeting of a class of persons and gives police officers authority to detain a person on reasonable suspicion. This is the contentment of American Civil Liberties Union, which has filed a lawsuit challenging the HB-56 and has sought an injunctive relief to stop the enforcement of the Law.
