Eric Bolling, a host on Fox News, made some speculation on Tuesday about Sandra Fluke, the girl at the center of Rush Limbaugh’s recent diatribe. Bolling said that Fluke, who is a law student, was a member of a plan by the White House to distract voters in the country from the current economic problems.
The first time Fluke found herself in the national spotlight was because she was not given a spot at the hearing on the Obama administration’s contraception policy. Limbaugh decided to nationally call Fluke a ‘slut’ and a ‘prostitute’ when Fluke asked her Catholic university to cover the cost of contraception with its insurance plan. On the show ‘The Five,’ Bolling had very little sympathy for her, labeling her as a tool for a larger mission.
Bolling said that Obama and all of his “allies in the press were trying to pull a fast one on you.” Bolling labeled Fluke as a ‘foot soldier’ for the Obama administration and added, “President Obama, on the ropes with the economy and specifically with women voters, gets Mrs. Fluke to create a controversy, and the liberal media puppets play along as scripted.”
The co-host of the show, Bob Beckel, said that the idea from Bolling was ‘ridiculous.’ It seemed that Beckel was the only host of the show who did not agree with the idea. Another host, Andrea Tantaros, disagreed with “anyone who thinks this was accidental.”
