Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a great weekend, I certainly did! Since Saturday marked the first day of fall, I thought it only appropriate to come up with my own fall bucket list. They’ve been popping up over the blog world ever since the summer bucket lists became so popular, so I wanted to take part. It’s important to slow down a bit and do some fun things to appreciate the season, and fall is by far my favorite!
Well, first and foremost my birthday is in the fall, so obviously it’s the most important… Haha but beyond that I love the crisp air, the warm drinks and all the fun activities. Plus football! I wish I could afford to go to a Bears game or two but, those tickets tend to be a biiiiit expensive.
Anyway, here’s my bucket list:
1) Apple Picking
2) Go to a sporting event
3) Run a marathon
4) Get a caramel apple
5) Bake a pie for Thanksgiving
6) Get a gluten free cupcake for my birthday!
Haha I think number one on this list is run a marathon! It’s such a huge part of my Fall that I couldn’t not put it on there.
I went apple picking last year and loved it, so I definitely want to do that again at least once!
I also want to make a pie or something similar this year for Thanksgiving. I meant to last year but just didn’t have time time, and honestly just didn’t put in the effort!
And it’s been almost a year since I went gluten free and I have yet to try a cupcake! There are a couple bakeries who make them so I need to try one out.
Haha and number one is run a marathon! Only two weeks away!
What are some things you want to do this fall?
What’s your favorite season?

Fall is my favorite season as well!
I want to go apple picking, start marathon training, take the kids hiking, to a haunted house and to a pumpkin patch!
I thought about adding a haunted house, but I’ve never been to one! I’m afraid I’d get too freaked out! haha
I haven’t been apple picking for sooo long!!! Let’s go!
Definitely! I saw the facebook invite!
Great bucket list for fall! Fall is definitely my favorite season here in Utah. I love everything about it (except the shorter days!).
I know, it’s dark so early now!
love the fall bucket list. obviously, my biggest bucket list item is the same as yours. run a little race 🙂 i also want to make a recipe that i’ve had pinned for a butternut squash gallette, but other than that i don’t think i have anything that exciting on the list. i have some football games already on my calendar so i don’t think i can really put them on the bucket list since they’re already booked. happy fall katie!
Thanks Molly, and I’ll be seeing you SOON!
I have so many recipes pinned that are fall-themed so I would like to cook my way through them this fall. Physically, I would like to take advantage of the cooler weather and really improve my cycling.
Cycling would be great in the fall! I wish I had a bike here, but I don’t think I’d use it enough, maybe next summer!
Linds and I were actually talking this weekend about getting the group together to go apple picking!!!!!!! WE DOIN IT!
HAha already accepted the facebook invite!
I want to go apple picking this season too! I just need to find a weekend to do it!
I went somewhere in Indiana last year!
i already went apple picking..it was so much fun and now i have so many delicious apples..up next is to bake an apple crisp with all the apples i have!
That’s a great idea!
I want to go apple picking sooo bad. It’s been a part of my fall every year since…ever. Haha. Unfortunately, most of my standard apple orchards have zero crop this year. That week in March where it got up to 80 made all the apples blossom too early, and then it got back to March-y weather (cold), froze the blossoms…no apples 🙁 And for those few apples that did survive, the drought this summer pretty much killed them all. I don’t know what the apple orchard situation in Illinois is, but I know that’s the case in most of Michigan. The orchard I’ve gone to for years and years and years only has 10% of their usual crop this year because of the March heat/freeze and drought 🙁
I heard there is a big shortage! I did some research and many places recommend coming early!
Fall is obviously the best season and your bucket list looks great! We should do a Chicago blogger apple picking trip too!
We will!
Good luck on your first marathon!!! That’s super exciting!
I’ve never been apple picking, but everyone says it’s SO much fun, so I think that’s number 1 on my fall bucket list.
Happy Monday, Katie!
I hope you get to go! It’s so fun!
Great Bucket List! So many fun food-related ideas! My favorite season is Fall, for sure!!!
Haha gotta get the food stuff in!
I’m in charge of baking the pie every Thanksgiving for my family dinner- classic pumpkin! Apple picking looks like a lot of fun. I’m really excited to get a little pumpkin for my apartment, and maybe carve it if I’m feeling brave…
I usually get a tiny pumpkin for my apartment, but too small to carve!
Fall is my favorite, it might be because I am a fall baby as well or because I just love the leaves changing colors. Either way, love this idea!!!!
The leaves changing is sooo pretty!
Eat as many different pumpkin flavored things as possible!
… I’m one of those people who wants to jump into a pile of leaves, too 🙂
That’s a great one! And I love throwing leaves up in the air so they fall down on you!
LOVE the marathon one!! WAHOO!!!
I love apple picking too. That’s a MUST for me in the fall 🙂
Last year was the first time I’d gone in a VERY long time and I loved it!
I am definitely psyched for you and that third one down, the marathon! Ahhh I cannot believe it’s so soon.. I am sure that thought has crossed your mind a few times too eh? 😉 Apple picking is on mine and although I already went, I must go again! Carving pumpkins and baking the seeds are on the ole list as well
Haha I think about the marathon occasional. And I hope to go apple picking more than once too!
Fall is by far my favourite season too!!
I crossed running a half-marathon off my list yesterday, still have baking a whole pumpkin + seeds, going for a run through the arboretum once the leaves have changed, sitting curled up in front of the first fire of the cool season while watching an autumn thunderstorm, and finding some great GF fall-flavoured baking goodies (or being brave and making my own!!).
A run through the arboretum sounds beautiful!!!
Sweet Ali’s has the best GF cupcakes in the Chicago area. I’ve been GF for almost 5 years now, and out of all the places I’ve sampled, they are my favorite.
I’ll look it up!!
love your fall bucket list. it has a lot of the same things as mine does! yay I’m so excited its fall! (:
I have never gone apple picking before but I saw the facebook invite and I am so excited. Sprinklez, Sprinkles, and Molly’s Cupcakes make the best gluten free cupcakes. Also west town bakery and bleeding heart bakery! Im so excited for you to run the marathon. Im volunteering at mile 18!
Molly’s has gf? I’ve been in there several times and never seen it!
I really want to go apple picking too! And I’d love to make applesauce with those apples. Also I really want to go on a hike, drink my first pumpkin spice latte, and bake pumpkin bread!
Yay fall birthdays! I’ve got one of those too. 😀
I love the list! All of those activities sound good to me! The marathon is certainly at the the top of mine too.
I also really want to go apple picking, so hopefully we can coordinate a time for everyone to go together.
