Fall Bucket List

44

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a great weekend, I certainly did! Since Saturday marked the first day of fall, I thought it only appropriate to come up with my own fall bucket list. They’ve been popping up over the blog world ever since the summer bucket lists became so popular, so I wanted to take part. It’s important to slow down a bit and do some fun things to appreciate the season, and fall is by far my favorite!

Well, first and foremost my birthday is in the fall, so obviously it’s the most important… Haha but beyond that I love the crisp air, the warm drinks and all the fun activities. Plus football! I wish I could afford to go to a Bears game or two but, those tickets tend to be a biiiiit expensive.

Anyway, here’s my bucket list:

1) Apple Picking

2) Go to a sporting event

3) Run a marathon

4) Get a caramel apple

5) Bake a pie for Thanksgiving

6) Get a gluten free cupcake for my birthday!

Haha I think number one on this list is run a marathon! It’s such a huge part of my Fall that I couldn’t not put it on there.

I went apple picking last year and loved it, so I definitely want to do that again at least once!

I also want to make a pie or something similar this year for Thanksgiving. I meant to last year but just didn’t have time time, and honestly just didn’t put in the effort!

And it’s been almost a year since I went gluten free and I have yet to try a cupcake! There are a couple bakeries who make them so I need to try one out.

Haha and number one is run a marathon! Only two weeks away!

What are some things you want to do this fall?

What’s your favorite season?

  1. love the fall bucket list. obviously, my biggest bucket list item is the same as yours. run a little race 🙂 i also want to make a recipe that i’ve had pinned for a butternut squash gallette, but other than that i don’t think i have anything that exciting on the list. i have some football games already on my calendar so i don’t think i can really put them on the bucket list since they’re already booked. happy fall katie!

  2. I want to go apple picking sooo bad. It’s been a part of my fall every year since…ever. Haha. Unfortunately, most of my standard apple orchards have zero crop this year. That week in March where it got up to 80 made all the apples blossom too early, and then it got back to March-y weather (cold), froze the blossoms…no apples 🙁 And for those few apples that did survive, the drought this summer pretty much killed them all. I don’t know what the apple orchard situation in Illinois is, but I know that’s the case in most of Michigan. The orchard I’ve gone to for years and years and years only has 10% of their usual crop this year because of the March heat/freeze and drought 🙁

  3. I’m in charge of baking the pie every Thanksgiving for my family dinner- classic pumpkin! Apple picking looks like a lot of fun. I’m really excited to get a little pumpkin for my apartment, and maybe carve it if I’m feeling brave…

  4. I am definitely psyched for you and that third one down, the marathon! Ahhh I cannot believe it’s so soon.. I am sure that thought has crossed your mind a few times too eh? 😉 Apple picking is on mine and although I already went, I must go again! Carving pumpkins and baking the seeds are on the ole list as well

  5. Fall is by far my favourite season too!!
I crossed running a half-marathon off my list yesterday, still have baking a whole pumpkin + seeds, going for a run through the arboretum once the leaves have changed, sitting curled up in front of the first fire of the cool season while watching an autumn thunderstorm, and finding some great GF fall-flavoured baking goodies (or being brave and making my own!!).

  6. Sweet Ali’s has the best GF cupcakes in the Chicago area. I’ve been GF for almost 5 years now, and out of all the places I’ve sampled, they are my favorite.

  7. I have never gone apple picking before but I saw the facebook invite and I am so excited. Sprinklez, Sprinkles, and Molly’s Cupcakes make the best gluten free cupcakes. Also west town bakery and bleeding heart bakery! Im so excited for you to run the marathon. Im volunteering at mile 18!

  8. I love the list! All of those activities sound good to me! The marathon is certainly at the the top of mine too.
I also really want to go apple picking, so hopefully we can coordinate a time for everyone to go together.
