Howse Williams Bowers Promotes Four to Partner Status

The law firm of Howse Williams Bowers, located in Hong Kong, has announced via a press release that it is promoting four lawyers as partners with the firm, with the moves becoming effective in January of 2013. The four lawyers being named partners at the firm are Katherine Chuang, Lynn Lee, Lisa Nabou and Oonagh Toner. The four partners worked for Reed Smith Richards Butler in Hong Kong prior to switching to Howse Williams Bowers on January 1, 2012 with the founding partners of the firm.

Chuang has specialties in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate restructuring, direct investment and general commercial issues.

Lee works primarily in dispute resolution and commercial litigation that is centered on insurance, property, shareholder and insolvency disputes. Lee also provides the firm with experience in trade finance, debt recovery, media law, sale of goods, injunction, commercial fraud, judicial reviews, defamation, jurisdictional challengers and litigation related to these matters.
Nabou works in disciplinary and healthcare law, working with the Medical Protection Society in London for quite some time. Nabou has argued cases in the High Court, the Court of Appeal, the Court of Final Appeal and the Judicial Review.

Toner focuses her practice on commerical and professional negligence litigation to go along with dispute resolution. Toner also works on clinical negligence claims when advising healthcare companies and professionals when it comes to regulatory, criminal and contractual issues.
