John Latham, Gidon Caine, Susan Hurd and Jon Shepherd are the litigation partners from Alston & Bird representing Dell in Delaware for litigation counsel. The law firm has worked on other issues for Dell, including a case from three years ago regarding antitrust.

In 2012, Dell spent $2.71 million lobbying and some $2.39 million of that was for the company’s in-house lobbyists. That team was headed by senior manager of global public policy Matt Krupnick and the head of North American government affairs Christopher Turner. Also in that group was Chris Alsup, the federal government affairs manager.

The law firm of Hogan Lovells is advising Dell in the potential sale of the company. The firm of Debevoise & Plimpton is providing counsel for the company’s board of directors. The company’s CEO, Michael Dell, is being represented by Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in the sale.
