NSA leaker Snowden seems to be settling down in Russia and getting his life back on keel after the tumult it has been through. His lawyer Anatoly Kucherena has told the Russian news agency RIA Novosti that Snowden has got a job with a large Russian website and he is to start his job in November.
Kucherena did not discuss or disclose the name of the company or the location where Snowden would be employed for obvious reasons.

Though earlier this year Snowden was publicly offered a job by VKontakte, a popular social networking site, he did not accept the offer. The current job is a secret one, though it is work for a private website and has nothing to do with Russia’s state secrets.
Snowden’s leaks have made US lose face by revealing its old network of spying on foreign leaders at a critical time. However, until now, it seems his leaks have only revealed that the NSA routinely spies on foreign leaders, economic units, terrorists and US citizens.
Though details of how things happen with foreign leaders and economic units have been revealed to a large deal through media reports, Snowden stopped revealing data before US citizens could learn in detail what the NSA does to spy on US citizens.
Before he could do further damage, his passport was revoked, and he fell in the lap of Russia, where Putin laid down the condition that Snowden could stay only if he did not reveal anything more about his US friends. By revoking Snowden’s passport, Putin’s US friends made sure that Snowden couldn’t leave Russia.

Now Snowden starts working on web job, and presumably data security, as that is his forte.
Though it is clear that without a passport Snowden cannot leave Russia, and he only has a refugee permit, his lawyer claimed Snowden is living in Russia out of his love for the country.
Kucherena told the media, “given the attitude of Russians towards him … given the love for him, he’s receiving a fair amount of correspondence, and I don’t think he has any desire to leave for another country at the moment.”
