Rapper “Christ Bearer” has been admitted to a Los Angeles hospital after attempting suicide by cutting off his penis and jumping from a second story balcony. According to L.A. Police, early Wednesday morning at an apartment building in North Hollywood, the police arrived at 1 a.m. and saw Johnson, 40, lying on the sidewalk with critical injuries. He was rushed to Cedars- Sinai Medical Center, TMZ reports.
According to CNN, details about what triggered the incident were not available. Members of the group Northstar, affiliated with Wu-Tang Clan, who live in the same building said Johnson cut off his penis and leaped without warning, according to Fox News. They said that by the time they got downstairs, he was running around screaming. TMZ said the musicians said they hadn’t used “any hard drugs that would cause him to do such a thing.”
He tried to commit suicide less than 24 hours after the rap groups new video release of “OOOH!,” with Rugged Monk as Black Knight. Johnson has got together with Wu-Tang Clan producer and leader RZA, but the band’s website now has a statement saying the have no ties to Johnson without directly naming him, according to RawStory.com.
The statement on the website reads: “Parental Advisory: Don’t Believe The HYPE. This Mother F**ker Ain’t Got Sh*t to do with The WUTANG Brand.”
