Summary: This series of notes written by kids reveals both their lack of tact and the humor when they nevertheless attempt it.
With all the subtlety and hidden messages and overtones and what-not to consider in adult discourse, how refreshing to listen to children talk. They are much more direct in their desires and complaints, and much more transparent in their subterfuge. Their charming manner of making threats and demands makes us smile, yet reminds us that adults use the same tactics, albeit a bit more indirectly.
This shows some subtlety for a child, though not much.
This lack of tact can be explained by a parallel lack of understanding of death.
