G. Derek Andreson’s focus will be on corporate internal investigations, white-collar defense, and SEC enforcement actions at Winston & Strawn LLP. The law firm has a group of over 100 attorneys dedicated to the white collar, regulatory defense and investigations. Of the 100 attorneys, 17 are former U.S. Attorney Prosecutors. The team was recently named “Practice Group of the Year” by Law360. They represent a variety of clients, including over one-third of Fortune 500 companies.
His past experiences include serving at an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia for the Financial Fraud and Public Corruption Unit. In this job, he frequently investigated allegations of fraud, bribery, corruption, insider trading, money laundering, criminal antitrust, and qui tam matters. His experiences will be a great asset to Winston & Strawn’s white collar and investigations practice.
Andreson also served six years as a U.S. Navy Seal in the U.S. Special Operations Command before attending law school at The College of William and Mary School of Law. He received in Bachelor of Arts from Old Dominion University. He is leaving Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP to join Winston & Strawn LLP.
