Maltin will be focusing his practice on defending businesses from all forms of employment claims such as harassment, trade secrets misappropriations, discrimination, and class action lawsuits. He will also work with domestic and foreign companies on commercial disputes.

Well known for his experience investigating workplace issues, he speaks regularly on the proper questioning techniques to use to uncover dishonesty. He works with the Trial Advocacy Project by teaching deposition skill workshops and by training prosecutors.

Maltin will be joining from Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP, where he frequently served as outside general counsel for businesses and helped human resources in counseling and strategy. He received his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.

Lathrop & Gage has around 320 attorneys that work across the nation with clients in the areas of litigation, business, and intellectual property. Many of their practice groups have been ranked by Chambers USA as being among the best in their regions.
