A Central Florida gun store and George Zimmerman are becoming partners in their fight for freedom. The gun shop, declared as a “Muslim-free zone”, will start selling paintings by Zimmerman of a Confederate flag. Both groups want to raise money for their legal bills.

In a short clip posted on the gun store website, the two discuss their friendship and similar belief in how the media twists the truth, especially about them. The video also defends the Confederate flag and how it must be protected from the “cultural cleansing” campaign by the media and politicians.
The prints include the inscription, “The 2nd protects our 1st.” Zimmerman has been painting prints to raise money for his own legal defense bills. He was acquitted of second-degree murder charges in the shooting of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin in 2013. When he heard that the gun shop was sued by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), he decided he would help them out, like the American people did for him.
A print runs around $50 and one person will be chosen from those that purchase a print to win the original print. The proceeds will mostly go to Zimmerman and the gun store owner Andy Hallinan but a portion will also go to the Boys and Girls Club.
Hallinan is being sued by the Florida chapter of the CAIR because he declared his store a “Muslim-free zone.” His reason for doing so is he “will not arm and train those who wish to do harm to my fellow patriots.” The CAIR wants a judge to prohibit him from treating Muslims differently and to pay their attorney fees and costs.
The executive director of the CAIR in Florida had been invited to the gun shop to talk and learn how to shoot until Hallinan was informed by others that the group had been put on the United Arab Emirates had put the group on their terrorist group list. Hallinan’s attorney Robert Musie has not filed a response to the lawsuit yet but says the lawsuit is “bogus” and “frivolous.”
A number of gun stores and clubs have made similar declarations lately. A shooting range in Arkansas instated the guideline that they were “Muslim-free” last year. A Hindu father and son claimed they were turned away but the owner said their behavior was unsafe and that is why they were turned away. The Justice Department has monitored the business to make sure it complies with the laws but has no plans to take any action.
Hallinan ends the video by saying, “We’ll see what the media does with this one.”
