By looking at compensation and benefits, training and guidance, relations with partners and other associates, policy on billable hours, managements openness to firm strategies and partnerships chances, and the interest and satisfaction level of the work at law firms among third, fourth, and fifth year associates, American Lawyer was able to create a ranking of the top law firms for associates of those years.
