Summary: A program aimed at helping IU graduates with an interest in law has been developed between the school and law firm Chapman and Cutler.
Indiana University Maurer School of Law has joined with Chapman and Cutler LLP to form a special program for IU graduates that want to pursue finance and law. The program will allow the graduates to get first-hand experience and training in the field.

Dean of Maurer School of Law and James H. Rudy Professor of Law, Austen Parrish, said, “I’d been looking into developing a broader pipeline program, and Chapman and Cutler was interested in doing it.”
The program, Finance Law Development Program, will be based out of the firm’s Chicago office. It is a two-year program with a salary for selected college graduates to act as practice development associates by working closely with Chapman attorneys on projects.
The two organizations have a strong relationship already with several IU alumni working at the firm as attorneys. For those wishing to get a law degree may be eligible for a spot as a Chapman Law Fellow after completing the program. Chapman will also help fellows with their law school applications and reimburse them for the cost of LSAT review courses. For those that meet undergraduate GPA and LSAT guidelines, the law school will give them a $75,000 scholarship for non-residents.
