Last month, the body of Shazim Uppal, a 27-year-old from Hockessin, Delaware was found in the parking lot of Genesis Healthcare nursing home. On August 24th, at around 7:02 p.m. New Castle County law enforcement was dispatched to the parking lot.

In March, a law student subdued a mugger who stole a woman’s purse.

Another individual had called the police to report a black Audi that had not moved from the parking lot in an uncharacteristically long time.

Upon approaching the vehicle, officers noted a man in a driver’s seat who was unresponsive to verbal commands. The officers opened the car and discovered Uppal, who had suffered several gunshot wounds to the torso.

An LSU law student was indicted for raping two women.

Law enforcement concluded that the killing was not at random, as there was a significant amount of marijuana in Uppal’s car.

Uppal had just graduated from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law in July.

Rauf was taken into custody by New York State Police on Monday. Law enforcement had been investigating the murder for about three weeks.

A murder suspect punched his lawyer in the face—after receiving a not guilty verdict.

Rauf is currently being held as he awaits extradition. PhillyVoice.com adds that Rauf has been charged with murder in the first degree and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.
