Former Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan partner Jack Schaedel has teamed up with the Labor & Employment practice at Dykema. Schaedel will be working from the Los Angeles office.

Schaedel will represent employers for all areas of employment law. This includes class action and single plaintiff litigation. These cases can involve asserting claims for harassment, discrimination, violation of medical family or disability leave laws, and wage and hour violations. Schaedel also counsels clients on developing and enforcing companies policies and handbooks.

Schaedel’s experience includes traditional labor law areas like union campaigns and elections, unfair labor practice arbitrations, collective bargaining negotiations, and the day-to-day administration of collective bargaining agreements.

He currently serves as the founder and chairman of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Pasadena Bar Association. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Labor and Employment Law section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He was the founder of his own firm; after a merger it became Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan.

Schaedel earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law and his B.S. from Cornell University’s School of Industrial & Labor Relations. He also received a certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University’s Straus Institute.
