The mergers and acquisition team at Cooley has welcomed a new partner to their group in the Palo Alto office. Steven Tonsfeldt will be joining the firm from O’Melveny & Myers. Tonsfeldt was the chair of the global M&A and private equity practice at O’Melveny & Myers.
At Cooley, Tonsfeldt will be a great addition to their global mergers and acquisitions practice, bringing over 25 years of experience in the Silicon Valley. He has worked with clients across the country and across borders through M&A transactions, hostile takeovers, defense planning, and contested transactions. Chambers USA has recognized him as a leader in the Corporate/M&A area for over ten years.
