Summary: Harvard Law School is on the hunt for more hidden recording devices after two were found on campus recently.

Harvard University police, students, and staff are now searching the campus for other hidden devices. Velcro strips like the one used to hold the device under the table in the lounge have been found in multiple places on campus. In the lounge, more strips were found as well as in classrooms used for student activism discussions.

The lounge has been used by Reclaim Harvard Law as a place for minority students to hold discussions on diversity and inequality. Some of discussions captured on the recorder in the lounge include victims of sexual assaults and tenants told about evictions. For this reason, the group has not turned over the recorder. They are working with lawyers to ensure the sensitive conversations are protected. Massachusetts law requires the consent from all parties of a recorded conversation.

Harvard Law School has had a tough year when it comes to racial issues. Earlier in the year, someone defaced the portraits of black law professors with tape. No suspect has been identified. The school has also been in the works of deciding whether to keep the seal after its ties to slavery were discovered. The Harvard Law has since decided to remove the seal.
