Update: Laid Off Kilpatrick Lawyer Commits Suicide at Office

Mark LevyWe reported yesterday that Kilpatrick Stockton had laid off 24 lawyers.

This morning, police and firefighters responded when Mark Levy, Washington DC-based counsel and chair of Kilpatrick Stockton’s Supreme Court and Appellate Advocacy practice, shot himself at the DC office.

According to a JDJournal tipster, he was one of those let go this week.

Levy’s listing on the firm’s web site says he was a Yale Law School grad, a former member of the Clinton DOJ and a member of the adjunct faculty at the University of Virginia School of Law.
