State of the Union won’t Preempt Lost

In what will come as a relief to what has to be one of the strangest groups ever to lobby the President of the United States, the White House announced today that the State of the Union address will not take place on February 2nd, the night the final seasons premier of the TV show Lost is scheduled to air. Lost fans had set up web pages and tweet sites asking the President not to schedule it on that date or asking ABC to air Lost instead of the speech if the White House chose February 2nd for the speech.

No final announcement on when the speech will be has come yet, but one thing’s for sure – it won’t be on Groundhog Day.
