The No Kill Advocacy Center has posted a blog on The Huffington Post about PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). The group reportedly represents the best interests of animals.
According to the post, most of the 2,000 animals that enter the group’s doors each year do not make it out of their facility alive. In 2011, 96 percent of the animals were taken out the back door after being killed. This is when Pet Cremation Services of Tidewater visits to pick up the remains.
The dead bodies are kept in a walk-in freezer that PETA had installed for this purpose. The freezer cost the group $9,370 and the animals are incinerated with the money sent to PETA by people who think they are helping animals.
Over the past 11 years, PETA has killed some 29,426 dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals. PETA believes that humans have a right to kill animals so long as the process is ‘humane.’ The organization killed animals that were deemed perfectly healthy too.

Sorry,this is not a smear campaign. I wish it were. I am a former “PETA”member myself until being directly involved in a rescue situation at a pound in OHIO. The pound came under attack after PETA TRIED TO PRESSURE AUTHORITES TO HAVE EVERY ANIMAL EUTHANIZED.The complaint was they were taking too long to find homes. As a member I immediately called PETA and they told me all dogs should be euthanized within five days.No exceptions!! As a dog rescuer and PETA member I could not believe what they said. I WILL NEVER GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!
PETA kills perfectly adoptable and healthy pets… they advocate for the killing of ALL pit bulls including the former M. Vick dogs who were NOT killed and have become amazing ambassadogs for the breed… 8 are therapy dogs, many are living in loving homes with other dogs, cats, kids, and PETA wanted them dead.
These are not smear tactics. These are verifiable facts about PETA. Well done JD, WELL DONE!
It seems peta doesn’t practice what they preach, and have came to the inevitable conclusion that animals aren’t people, now if they would treat people like people!
