Texas Stabbing Suspect, Dylan Quick, Charged in Lone Star College Attack

On Tuesday, 20-year-old Dylan Quick was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in a stabbing attack at Lone Star College. Quick informed police that he had fantasized since elementary school about stabbing people to death. His attack wounded 14 people, with most suffering injuries to the face and neck, according to Fox News.

Quick told officers from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office that he planned the attack at the school for some time and that he used a razor-type knife. He was held on $300,000 bail. According to an overnight judge, Quick confessed to the crime on videotape.

KTRK was told by a witness that Quick seemed happy when arrested and had a “sinister look on his face, kind of a smile and a satisfaction grin.”

Two of the victims were still in critical condition as of Tuesday night and two others were in good condition. The incident started around 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Harris County Sherriff Adrian Garcia said that “students or faculty were actively responding to work to subdue this individual. So we’re proud of those folks, but we’re glad no one else is injured any more severely than they are.”

The stabbing occurred three months after a shooting at a different Lone Star campus that injured two people.
