Well hey there! You may (or may not…) have noticed that I haven’t been posting much, especially this week. Well, a lot of things have become a bit overwhelming over the past couple of weeks and my mind is just not on the blog. My temp job is ending in a few weeks so I’m really focused on trying to find something new, in addition to a much busier social calendar, an upcoming trip, and some other personal life stuff. I hope you’ll bear with me through this busy time and hopefully I’ll be back at it soon!
But now, without further ado, this week’s Thursday thoughts!
1. Speaking of that trip… one of my good friends here is getting MARRIED soon and I cannot WAIT – I am so crazy excited and happy for her! And also praying that all the stressful last minute things she has been dealing with go smoothly!
2. So a couple weeks ago I won Lindsay’s Healthy Bites giveaway – and I’ve almost finished them all off! These things are SO GOOD and perfect for a snack at work!
3. And speaking of work (don’t you love my non-obvious transitions?), here are my OOTD from this week:
4. Another great outfit? (see what I did there? HA) is a bucket of cold water… Yep, despite my annoyance at these videos filling up my facebook news feed, I had to participate. A friend of mine who I grew up with challenged our graduating High School class to donate and dump a bucket of ice water on their heads in honor of her father, who passed away during our senior year. Obviously I had to participate!
5. So this weekend is going to be a busy one! I have a Junior League fundraiser event (Luau theme) on Friday night, dinner with my grandparents who are in town Saturday night, and then a full day in the ‘burbs and a B-Day party for two adorable one-year-olds on Sunday!
6. I’ve always been very much into drawing, doodling and anything artsy but over the past few months I haven’t been doing any of that. Well, after a rough morning, some doodling was exactly what I needed to help clear my mind:
7. Rain, rain go away, come again another day… REALLY CHICAGO? Usually the summers here are so great that it makes up for the horrendous winter… Well this summer has been on-again off-again with it’s niceness… so I am SO NOT READY for cold weather to return!
8. Have a great Thursday!

Do you like to doodle?Â
Have you participated in the ice bucket challenge?Â
What are you up to this weekend?Â

I hope you get some more nice weather.
I don’t have any plans for the weekend right now. The last couple weeks have been pretty busy, so I’m looking forward to a laid back couple of days.
I looooooove empty weekends like that!
I hope that everything that is overwhelming you gets better, so you won’t be as stressed! Doodling is a great stress reliever though and you’re really good at it! Maybe you could find a job where you get paid to doodle
Thanks, Emily! Haha and I WISH I could get a job drawing!

I enjoy drawing, especially when I upset because it provides an outlet and stops my ruminitative thought processes.
yes, drawing is such a good outlet!
