Thank you all so much for your great comments this week! It’s been a big week of posts for me, first up another Pinterest Outfits Made Affordable post, then I shared some of the pressure I’ve been feeling, and finally I talked about the difficulty I’m having in deciding how much to share on here. Time for something a little lighter – Thursday Thoughts!
1. Tuesday’s post and Wednesday’s post were both written at the same time within 15 minutes. It started out as one post but then I had so much to say that I realized it was really two!
2. I am obsessed with Bulletproof coffee! I put coffee, almond milk and coconut oil into my magic bullet, blend for a few seconds, and voila! So good.
3. We got our legs for the relay race at the end of March that I’ve been training for and… all of mine are under 4 miles… Haha. I was anticipating a lot more than that, so I guess I can pull back on my training?
4. Tuesday was my cousin’s birthday and I can’t believe she’s in college!! I remember when she was born… which makes me feel so old. I found some cute pictures for the occasion:
5. My office has this hot/cold thing going on. Sometimes I’m warm enough that I need to take off my cardigan. Other times I need to put on my scarf, a fleece, and wear my coat as a blanket…
6. I started following Post Grad Problems on twitter at my friend’s suggestion and let’s just say it’s so true…
7. I’ve been making overnight oats to bring to work every morning and I’m a huge fan. Not only are they delicious, but, let’s be honest, eating them makes the morning go by just a liiiiiittle bit faster.
these are pumpkin with protein powder, coconut and coconut oil!
8. Have a great rest of your week!
What do you usually eat for breakfast?
What’s your favorite twitter account to follow?
How do you take your coffee (or tea)?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ok ok ok number 7 – the whole eating makes the time go by faster. so, when i travel back home i have like 5 hour flights and i always make sure i have at least one meal to eat on the plane so the time passes faster. oh we think alike 😉 hehehehe!
i also really liked these posts this week love! OPEN UP AND LET IT FLOW 😀 <3 be you <3 cause i love you
haha yes – must always have a snack on long trips to make time go by!
Bulletproof coffee sounds really good, I will definitely have to give that a try! Overnight oats=so awesome. Do you warm them up in the morning or eat them cold?
I eat them cold! Especially since half the time I make them with yogurt
I bring oatmeal to work with me every single morning. It definitely helps me to start the day right (well, that and a lot a coffee haha).
Do you ever bring warm oatmeal? I’m trying to figure out how to do that logistically. I don’t know if re-heating oatmeal works well?
I have access to a microwave, so I just heat it up when I get there. I’ve read thermos’s work well for oatmeal, though.
Thanks, Dana!
Question about bulletproof coffee in your magic bullet (haha..) when I try to blend hot liquids the top unscrews and explodes. Has this happened to you? Do you have any tricks?
Thanks! 🙂
Oh gosh yes. I’ve learned to just screw the lid tightly and only blend for about 5 seconds max! Sometimes there are still spills though…
I usually make a protein pancake or a smoothie for breakfast. Love the Antrhopologie offee cup- I have the same one and always buy them as gifts for people!
Me too! I love getting people these mugs, it’s by far my favorite.
I loved all your posts this week!
haha. That tweet. So true–I remember that for myself too. It’s a tough time after grad, but I promise something great will open up!
Thanks, Annette!
My breakfast is usually cereal, fruit, and yogurt.
sounds good!
breakfast is usually fat and protein based.
coffee is usually black!
haha I know you two like your black coffee!
I’ve been doing a simple eggs and toast thing for a while. I think it’s travel habits. Everywhere serves sunny up eggs and toast in some variation. I’m a tea fan, though I do love the taste of coffee still and will order a cafe au lair with almond milk on occasion. I like my tea milky with honey and a scone to dip!! I like the quotation by the way. I’m helping my sis with her divorce and it’s the perfect divorce quote!
It is a great quote for your sister, I hope she’s doing alright!
Good posts this week! I love overnight oats – they’re so easy! I’ve been a lot of scrambled egg wraps for breakfast lately. Plus coffee – always coffee.
haha ALWAYS coffee!
Love your mug! I think you saw…I got one too. 🙂 It’s my new favorite mug.
yes, my favorite too!
There are so many things I like about this post! Firstly, I love the Anthropologie mug in #2… We have those mugs in my apartment. “J” for me and “K” for my roomie. Too cute. And I obvi love overnight oats because I have an overnight oats obsession and couldn’t agree more than they make the morning go by a little faster. And third, I LOVE the quote in #8. Really needed to hear that right now. Might have to repost on my blog/Instagram. Thanks for sharing!
I’m glad you liked the quote, and the post! Thanks, Jordan! s
I LOVE your K mug from Anthro! =) Overnight oats have totally been my savior these past couple of weeks. Love them.
The mug is only about $8 – so cute for such a small price!
