Longest. Week. Ever. Thank goodness for Thursday Thoughts.
1. How is it that every year we get to St. Patrick’s Day and I still don’t own any green clothing? Seriously. #firstworldproblems
2. I had a Junior League committee meeting on Tuesday night that was about 1.5 miles from work so I decided to walk and stop and get Yogurtland for dinner along the way… Good thing they had salad at the meeting to balance that out.
3. I can see the Trump Tower from my window and earlier this week they had window washers working on the building. Seems like a daunting task…
4. My sister-in-law’s sister-in-law (confusing enough?) struggled with infertility, which she shared on her own blog. Well guess what? Earlier this week she had her baby boy! SO EXCITED for her and her husband!
5. I found a season of America’s Next Top Model that I’ve never seen… HALLELUJA!
6. I forgot that I’d turned off my alarm so I woke up Tuesday morning at 5:30am, too late to walk to the gym and back. I knew it was still “warm” so I headed outside for a run. It was really cloudy and dark so it was super eery, but very cool. Good thing I ran into (don’t worry, not literally) Lindsay while I was out there!
7. I need new books to read! Suggestions: GO!
8. Word.
What are you doing for St. Patrick’s Day weekend?
What TV Show are you watching now?
I truly admire people who clean the windows of tall buildings. I mean I’m not exactly terrified of heights, but stuff like that.. UM NO THANK YOU!
It’s the wind that would scare me the most!
longest week ever indeed!!!! let’s boycott it and just skip to the weekend. I’ll buy you some green
haha seriously, forget Thursday and Friday
OMGOSH YES
longest most tired week EVAH.
ahhhh yes. Need a nap.
tv show: parenthood!
LOVE Parenthood!
Haha I have the same green-clothes issue…I think I have one mint-green shirt? That’ll have to do. Some friends have invited me to go do a bar crawl for St. Patrick’s, which will be interesting…and insane. Probably more insane than anything else :-p
TV shows: right now, I’m catching up on the final season of Dexter. Such a good show.
Have fun at the bar crawl!
Green clothes issue – I found an obnoxiously blinged out tee shirt at Express a couple years ago, and I re-wear it every year! They usually have a couple different ones out each year, I also saw some Cubs/Sox ones on display at Pink…. in case you’re in need of one!
What Junior League are you associated with?! I’m trying to get involved and don’t know where to start!!
Last good book I ready = A Secret Kept by Tatiyana De Rosnay (she also wrote Sarah’s Key which is fabulous if you haven’t read it or seen the movie already).
TV Show: GIRLS… Oddly addicted…
HAPPY THURSDAY!!!
I’m at the Junior League of Chicago! Here’s the website: http://www.jlchicago.org/
Ahh judging from your pics you literally work right next to my apt! Columbus and wacker 🙂 I love the area, close to good shopping where you can buy yourself a green top 🙂
Haha I figured some locals would figure out where I am. Great neighborhood!
Elmore Leonard’s The Hot Kid. Great book.
Ooo I will look into that! Thanks
I always, like always, forget about St. Patrick’s Day! I’ve never been one to celebrate it.
#4 makes me smile. 🙂 I always love hearing news like that!
I usually don’t but of course this year I was invited to two parties at the same time… dilemma. And it’s a pretty big deal in Chicago!
It has been a really long week! I’m running a half marathon and maybe 5K this weekend and having some beer afterwards 🙂
oh gosh, big weekend! Good luck on your race!
I want to give you good book recos, but every one I’ve read this year hasn’t been that great. But right now I’m in the middle of “The Art of Racing In The Rain” by Garth Stein, and it’s amazing.
LOVE that book!
That is so exciting for your sisters in law sisters in law! 😉 Yay babies!!!
I would never want to be a window washer.
I am going to start “Serena” by Ron Rash–have you read it?
I have not, I’ll go look that book up!
I was going to suggest The Rosie Project…then scrolled down in my blog reader and realized I probably got the idea to read it from you, lol! I love when Kindle books go on sale!
Haha yes, I loved that book!
I’m not sure if you follow Lilveggiepatch blog, but she recently gave some thoughts on book suggestions here. http://lilveggiepatch.com/page/2/ I hope I’m allowed to post that!
Thanks, Beth!
been a long week, but also flew by for us.

Well I hope your class goes well! Those are so boring, but worth it!
thank goodness it is the longest week ever 😀 i want it to be longer! loving my time at home
Awww yes, I hope the week lasts extra long for you then!
Ha…buying green is an easy fix. Have a great weekend!
Haha minus the trying to not spend money part. Thanks!
