Happy Friday!
I hope you all have a great weekend lined up! I have a few things, like a date night with this lady, and hopefully seeing a few other friends. Definitely some school work, and hopefully some cleaning too…
Today I am in a sharing mood, so I’ve put together a few fun things to share with all of you.
Recipes that I want to try:
Sweet Potatoes with Miso Sauce
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Granola Bars
Sugar Free Gluten Free Lemon Bars
Great Pinterest Images:
And most importantly…
Great Posts that I’ve Read Recently:
Tina wrote a great post about how we’d never use humiliation to motivate others to workout, but how we might be doing it to ourselves.
I’ve read a couple thought provoking posts by Amanda this week and last, one about blogger responsibility and another about when to say something to a blogger or keep your lips zipped. Although I can’t say I agree 100% with all points, I love the discussions her posts opened up!
Meg wrote a great post about how she (and many of us) don’t “just eat” (i.e. intuitive eating) and have always followed some sort of plan, eating what we think we should eat.
Also, I’ve mentioned this before but I’m still loving The Skimm – it’s an e-mail you get every morning with a summary of important news, written in a way that even I’m entertained, which is pretty tough!
Anything you want to share?
What’s the best blog post you read this week?
thanks for including me babe and OMG I need to try those potatoes!
Well thanks for writing such great posts!
I made those sweet potatoes with the miso sauce for Thanksgiving and they’re amazing and the sauce is awesome!! I love all of Emily’s recipes!
Good to know, now I HAVE to try them!
The sweet potatoes with miso sound so good! I love the pinterest about dancing with god. It reminds you that things will work out for the best. Enjoy your ladies night with Chelsey.
I know, that was my favorite pinterest image. It always makes me smile!
I want to share – TGIF!!
Haha amen to that!
That first Pinterest image = me. Absolutely.
Haha me too!!!
Thanks for sharing! I’m really excited about the Skimm! I’ve never of heard of it but it sounds perfect for me. I used to read CNN and the NY Times all the time, but I admit I’ve been lax lately due to school and work! Def signing up. Have a great day 🙂
I hope you like it, I feel soooo much more informed now that I read it, especially since I don’t have a TV to watch the news!
Ooh, those lemon bars look amazing, and gluten-free lemon bars sound intriguing. Thanks for sharing! I just read an interesting blog post on Running with Sass this morning about using KT tape. I’ve never tried KT tape but I might go buy some and try it out.
Oooo I’ll have to check out that post. I’ve heard of KT tape, my cousin used it for shin splints, but I’ve never bought it.
I always want that miso dish linds makes. I’m going to demand she make it and bring it to my house this weekend.
DURING THE CLOSET CONSULTATION! I’ll bring wine. Or nut butter.
I am now subscribed to skimm thanks to you. I also loved amanda’s post, she always seems to nail it for me. I kind of want to try those lemon bars!
I hope you like The Skimm! I’m a big fan.
Just seeing that pic of the miso sweet potatoes makes me want them right now. Thanks for sharing the posts, I’m going to check them out!
Haha ME TOO! I just have too much food in my fridge I need to get through first!
That vegan polenta pie and lemon bars look so good!
Sierra made the polenta pie for book club, it was amazing!
Those sweet potatoes look amazing! I’ve been a bit MIA from blog land this week but I have been enjoying Purely Twins posts until someone pointed out some stuff about how their posts could be interpreted, the world of blogging eh 😉
I was thinking about checking them out after your recommendation! Now I’m curious, what did that person say? One thing I’ve learned recently, is we all should just blog for ourselves and if someone doesn’t like it, then they shouldn’t read!
Awwr thanks for the link love, girl 😀 And that “Dance With God” pin is exactly what I needed to see today. Happy Friday!
I loooove that Dance with God pin, always makes me smile!
Love all of the blog posts that you mentioned here. I agree that they were fantastic. Now I’m wanting part of that polenta pie. I need to think of someway to replicate that without corn… I think it can be done..
Awesome pins.
lol without corn? I’ll want to hear how that works out!
I have a couple comments
1. Thanks for linking my recipe! Diana made it this week and it made me so happy
2. Did you find those lemon bars through me? I pinned them a while ago. They are from the nutritionist I’m working with and it’s the first thing I’m making when I’m done with this 7-day initial detox. Maybe book club?
3.That dance with God quote is amazing. I remember someone saying they did a 30 days dating Jesus devotional that was all about getting yourself spiritually prepared for a relationship. The insights she had really made sense. That quote totally speaks to the need to have a solid relationship with Him and be at a happy place personally before you can open your life to someone else. Love it! Thanks for sharing!
I did find those lemon bars through you – I think they’re perfect for book club! And I might need to get my hands on that devotional…
That polenta pie looks so good! I was just putting together a meal plan for next week, I’m going to add it. Have a great weekend!
I hope you like it, Sierra made it at our last bookclub and it was great!
I signed up for the Skimm last weekend because of you…best decision ever 🙂 Have a great weekend love!
I’m glad you like it!
I love those quotes–you have some great ones listed!!
Those lemon bars sound mighty fine….mmmmmm!
I know, I’m going to have to make those!
Miso is so delicious, so I can only imagine how tasty it must be with sweet potatoes. It sounds like a winning combination to me :).
We’ll both have to try it!
love Pinterest always finding some funny and very useful things 🙂
those lemon bars sound amazing, we will have to look into those!
Haha me too! I think they’ll have to make an appearance at my next book club!
