Happy Friday everyone!!! I hope you all had a good week, mine FLEW by, mostly because I didn’t have class Wednesday and today I only have Girls On The Run! Plus this whole “taper” thing means later wake-ups and more free time!
Remember how yesterday I mentioned that I wanted some race mantras to memorize for the marathon? Well, I took some of your suggestions and others that I had found online and came up with a bunch of photos for race mantras. I love pinning these to my fitness inspiration board so that I don’t forget them! Thank goodness for pinterest and it’s ability for me to organize my thoughts…
Anyway, I’ve made these “pin-able” so you can add them to your boards if you wish!
Do you use pinterest to keep quotes and ideas together?
Did anyone else have a “quote book” growing up? I did!
love all of them!! pinning now!
LOVE all of these!! i have a couple big races coming up so i’ll have to keep these in mind!!
I’m a crazy quote girl like you, too! These are great!
I don’t really make boards but I am always looking at pinterest for inspirational quotes to get me motivated!
Haha my friend does the same thing – she has an account to look at it but doesn’t actually pin anything
Love them all!
Love the last one!
Love that “Find your happy pace” one because that spot is one of my favorite places along the lakeshore path. I see that skyline and just feel so thankful to live in this gorgeous place and to be able to run by the lake. I’ll definitely be thinking about those things on marathon day!
It’s one of my favorite spots too! I love the view of the city!
These are awesome! And definitely inspirational!
I love these! Definitely pinning the “gift” one!
i will be spending the entire marathon saying “my feet hurt from kicking so much ass” 🙂
Haha I have a feeling I’ll start yelling that near mile 17 or so
I totally had a quote book growing up! I actually turned mine into a project when I was a freshman in high school. I still have it, and I still like all the quotes!
I have one too, it’s on my bookshelf! I love looking back through it!
“find your happy pace!!” love it! These are great! I’ll have to use them on my long run tomorrow
good luck on your long run and have fun!
LOVE THIS! My favourite race quote is “Have pride in how far you have come and have faith in how far you can go”
That’s a great one, Krysten!
LOVE these!!! NICE work on them! Totally pinning 🙂 You’re going to rock that race. Actually, you’re going to OWN it, baby.
ooooh I hope so! Starting to get nervous!
Oh my gosh I LOVE this! “Earn that medal” just might become one of my new race mantras.
Also, A+ to you for incorporating a Molly pic into one of these. Bahahaha so great!
Haha I almost made one that just said: “Molly believes in you”
I love these and added a few to my fitness board! These will come in handy for my first half marathon in a few weeks. Great post!
Good luck on your half! The “limitations only exist if you let them” got me through my first half!
I have a quote book now! It’s a small handmade book made of banana leaves that I bought in Cuba last year. I look through it ALL the time when I’m feeling blah. I find it super helpful.
Banana leaves?! Cool!
These are great! I’m going to pin a few.
One of my favorite mantras is “You are stronger than you know.” I have it written on my road id so I can see it when I run.
That’s a great one!
These are absolutely great… I am repinning these as we speak!
Love these!! I’m going to share this post in my Oct/November race/running series. Great motivation
LOVE those quotes!
My dad is a swim coach and my mom is a cross-country coach, and they came up with a saying for their teams: “Pain Can Be Fun”…..I definitely say that to myself during more than a few painful runs 🙂 I’m SO excited for you and your marathon!
Thanks Kaitlyn!
Haha – I love the “Run like someone is chasing you” mantra – now that would get anyone moving!
You’re going to do awesome!!!
[…] this week about the power of the mind in your workouts. It was a great reminder for me – I used mantras all last year when marathon training but I completely stopped when I got injured. Bad timing, right? Well I need […]
