Hey everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend!
I’m trying to follow my June Goal of making lunch 4 days a week by meal planning! I’ve made a bunch of quinoa and my plan is to use that as a base and come up with various things to mix in so I don’t end up eating the same thing all week!
One interesting food item I made yesterday was an artichoke!
Lol super easy, I just boiled it! It took about 45 minutes, I just kept checking to see if it was ready, no real idea what I was doing. My mom made these at home all the time and they were one of my favorite things! She made them with a lemon butter sauce, but since I didn’t have butter, I used dijon mustard! I mixed 1 T dijon mustard with the juice of one small lemon and it turned out great!
At work I share an office with an attorney. He’s been taking some beginning French classes, and it made me miss French! I took French classes at school from 4th grade through 10th, but haven’t taken it since. I remember a lot, but I thought it would be fun to brush up, so I started listening to a podcast called CoffeeBreak French. It’s moving a little slow, but I’m enjoying it! So many phrases I had forgotten about!
Yesterday I posted about the gluten free tubmlr site. Well today I have a new one to share!
Janae on her post yesterday on Hungry Runner Girl linked to a tumbler website called Hey Runner Girl featuring photos of Ryan Gosling with fabulous captions about running. I definitely book-marked this one.
I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing Sunday! A Bientot! (see you soon)
Anyone else have good tumblr sites to share?
What language have you always wanted to learn?
haha I love that tumblr – it’s hilarious!
mmm i love artichokes! i have never made them before, but i guess i should if you say they’re so easy! hope you’re having a great weekend! 🙂
You just have to boil them!
I’ve always wanted to learn French! To this day I still wish I chose French over Spanish when given the choice back in junior high school. Oh well…maybe one day!
At least spanish is more helpful in the US!
I miss French, too! I took it all throughout middle school and high school and did a brief foreign exchange with a family in the south of France. It was an amazing experience! I’ve definitely forgotten a lot of it now.
that would be awesome to go France! I feel like I forgot most of it because I never really used it!
I have never had an artichoke before. I need to try them though, they look delicious!
you’ve never had any artichoke? Lol or just a whole one?
I love artichokes! Especially spinach artichoke dip 😉

I’m trying to work on packing my lunch too!! Well, really, I’m working on staying on a budget, but one of the ways I’m trying to DO that is by packing my lunch!
