IT’S FRIDAY!!!!!
Okay, so it’s not really Friday, but since I don’t have class tomorrow, I’m just going to pretend. Although if it were really Friday then this would be a new week on my free froyo for a year! But, alas, I have to wait until at least the “real” Friday to use that… rude. Anyway, since it’s really Thursday that means it’s time for some Thursday Thoughts! Waaaay too many things rolling around in my head. Which is shocking since it seems to be mostly filled with worrying about school and arbitration clauses… don’t ask.
1. I have my Chobani Champions!!! I won a giveaway from Lindsay’s List a while back and just got my yogurt! No, I’m not a child, but I can still enjoy Champions! The two flavors I got were orange vanilla and chocolate chunks! They are both pretty good, and are a nice little snack. I used the chocolate in my overnight oats this week and the pieces of chocolate were so necessary Monday morning.
I dug into one immediately upon their arrival! So good!
2. Done and done. Anyone else? IMMEDIATELY upon entering my apartment (unless I am already wearing sweats) I change into comfy clothes. And then I can’t ever leave again. Oops.
3. Ummm… Strawberry Coconut Cake? Who’s making me a gluten free version for after my last final (May 5th – I’ll be expecting it around 6pm).
4. There is a hole in the road. Do you see this?!?!? The sidewalk was being fixed so I had to walk into the street to get around it, and saw this hole! There was a plant down in there! Come on, Chicago. Let’s get on this…
5. I was flipping back through old phone photos and decided to find the first photo I ever took with my iPhone.
Yep. That’s it. Don’t worry, I won’t reveal your identity, Miss boxer shorts…
6. This is a great quote to remember. Someone you come across might just be having a bad day, so keep up your good attitude! And if they happen to look like a student, be super nice… finals are approaching.
7. My friend, Bailey, bought her own domain for her blog yesterday! Head on over to the Fit Philanthropist and congratulate her!!!!
8. If someone gave you $1000 and you had to spend it now, what would you do with it? I would travel to visit friends!!! Haha spent some time thinking about and chatting about that this morning! I need to go to San Diego, Colorado, Utah and even Boston for the Healthy Living Summit! I would have said buy fro yo, but I get that for free now…
What’s on your mind? I’d love to hear!
My work clothes are off and my comfies are on within three minutes of entering my apartment! I crave that time alllll day long 🙂
Yes! it’s so necessary – immediate relaxation time!
Currently I’m sitting at my computer at work aching to get out of this dress I’m terrified I’m going to spill something on so I can throw on my grease-stained, well-loved sweatpants 🙂
haha, my sweats and sweatshirt I put on when i get home are definitely stained… they never see the light of day.
I love your Thursday Things posts!! I agree with the comfy clothes on ASAP. I am in grad school and honestly, it is an effort for me to put on “real clothes” to go to class (which is rare-I only put on “real clothes” if I have a presentation or something ha!) I am in workout clothes 95% of the time and I LOVE it.
Also, that cake looks so delicious-you certainly deserve the indulgence after finals!!!
Have a good day!
Haha I wear workout clothes about half the time to class, I used to dress up more since a lot of people have internships and wear suits coming from work… but I just don’t care too much anymore…
🙂
I think the first photo I took with my phone was of my feet because I was such a tool when it came to using it. So yours is significantly more impressive and much more entertaining.
Hahahaha feet are cool too!
Having read this post, I realized that I don’t have my first photo anymore. And I don’t even remember what it was 🙁
I’ve never tried the chobani champions chocolate chunk, that sounds really good!
The first picture I ever took with my iphone was of my scraped up hands after the Chicago marathon last fall. I was tripped at mile 7 and scraped up my knees and hands pretty badly!
oh no!!! Oh dear I hope I don’t fall. That would so happen to me.
haha! i pinned that one about getting into comfy clothes immediately when i walk in the door too… i hate relaxing in jeans! i’m all about the sweat pants and hair on top of my head look. 😉 love your answer to your last question!! i’d do the same! 🙂 xoxo
Haha that too – my hair is immediately up in a messy bun!
That quote is one of my favorites – it’s so true. I just saw that the Healthy Living Summit is coming to Boston this summer! Since I’m a new blogger I’ve never been, but I’m definitely going to be going to this!
Haha I was secretly hoping it would be in Chicago so it would be cheaper, but I love Boston!
I always change into comfy clothes as soon as I get in too! If I had that money I would love to go to the healthy living summit!
Haha I guess that flight would be much more expensive for you!
Good for you for including the clause I had to spend it now!
It would go towards a vacation for sure. Maybe more roadtrip style so I wouldn’t have to worry about boarding the dog.
I have been known to tell people I can’t leave the house again because it would involve getting dressed. 🙂
I hope someone makes you that cake because it looks heavenly.
Ah I love road trips!!
Since I wear I suit to work, I definitely change immediately upon getting home. I have a thing for matching pajamas so I’ll usually put those on or workout clothes. The first picture in my phone is a giant container of peeled garlic (and I wasn’t even blogging yet!)
Haha I love that your first picture was of garlic!
Hahaha! I JUST got home from my last day of classes (exams are all next week – boo!). First thing I did was take off my clothes and replace them with PJs and put my hair up in a bun and curl up in bed with my laptop.
Exactly what I do!
I TOO am THAT person who changes when she gets home too 🙂
I would buy plane tickets too!! I love to travel.
Haha I’m starting to realize everyone is doing this!
It’s kind of a thing now.
The hole is weird but the cake is gorgeous!
I know, the cake is so pretty!
Oh just RUB it in. Pssh I don’t even care if you have free fro-yo! It’s whatever… I’m not jealous…
HAHAHA Love the picture from your camera! my hubs eats Chobani every day like it’s his job! Since being vegan I do miss it!
I’m sure there are some delicious substitute yogurts! Have you tried So Delicious coconut greek yogurt?!
You know I did try and it and didn’t like it at all (which actually surprised me). I would be curious what someone who actually ate greek yogurt would think of it. I never was into greek yogurt before so I don’t have a good taste reference.
Ahhh, great question about the $1k! I’d spend mine on a week’s beach vacation. Strawberry coconut cake looks delish
I always have to change out of work clothes the second I get home. And most of the time, I take out my contacts and remove all makeup immediately as well, which means I don’t go anywhere once that happens 🙂
I’m excited to try that chocolate yogurt!
And yay for it being your Friday today! Have a wonderful weekend. It’s sort of my Friday too, because we have a workday tomorrow. Even though we have to be at work, all the teachers count it as pretty much a day off since there’s no teaching going on 🙂
Ahh I LOVE thinking about what I’d do if I won the lottery, or even $1,000 🙂 I think I would spend it on travel too – I’d book a beach vacation at an all-inclusive resort for the second school lets out!
Yay for workday tomorrow!
If I was given $1k, I, too, would travel to see family and friends. I would also take care of my car. Get gas, wash it, and treat my friends to dinner. I would also buy a plane ticket for Fit Bloggin. $1k would be nice…Thanks for letting me dream!
Eat Live Move: Intuitive Eating from A to Z!
Haha I hope the $1,000 would get you that much!
Hahaa! Walking the streets in boxer shorts? 3 words: Walk Of Shame…at least they’re kind of cute…
Haha after new years walk
ohmygoodness i’m dying to try the chocolate chunk chobani champions!! it sounds so good!
and totally with ya on the getting home thing-often i put on my PJs right when i walk in the door if i know i’m staying in for the rest of the night!
It is such a great treat, you should try it!!!
