Clemens To Be Arraigned Monday

roger clemensFormer pitching great Roger Clemens will be arraigned Monday in federal court in Washington D.C. on charges he lied to Congress about his use of performance-enhancing drugs.

Clemens was indicted last week on six counts of making false statements, perjury and obstruction of justice following a two-year investigation. The charges stemmed from Clemens’ testimony before a Congressional  committee looking into the use of PED’s in Major League Baseball.

The ‘Rocket,’ a seven-time Cy Young Award winner, has denied using PED’s and is expected to enter a not-guilty plea. Reuters is reporting that Clemens’ attorney, Rusty Hardin, has already rejected a plea agreement offered from prosecutors.

Judge Reggie Walton will conduct the arraignment at 2 p.m.
