My best friend in the whole world (sorry to whoever is insulted by this statement) is turning TWO years old today!
She was once this tiny and cute:
And now she’s all (well, sorta) grown up!
And for her birthday (yes, I realize I’ve written a whole post about a dog’s birthday) I am going to say all the things I love about Molly. Yesterday I took her to the park and we ran into some other Golden Retriever owners who were letting their dogs play. It was great to see the different ages and see how Molly compared to them all. My second favorite (since Molly was my favorite) was an adorable 6 month old named Katie! Great name…
Anyway, back to Molly.
I love that no matter what, Molly is always glad to see me.
I love that Molly is attached to humans and prefers our attention to other dogs.
I love that Molly listens when I say her name and comes to me when I call her, as opposed to the other dogs who went running towards the street when a dog in the distance barked.
I love that all I have to do is reach towards a stick and she immediately freezes in anticipation that I might throw it.
I love how she can drink out of a water fountain like a person.
I love that she thinks she’s actually a person.
I love that she isn’t ALWAYS happy, which shows she really is human deep down in there, but she always wants to cuddle (unless she sees that stick..).
I love that she never, ever fails to make me smile.
It’s been a good two years Molly. Can’t wait for many more.
Do you have a pet? What’s their name?
Are you a dog person?
And, just because I can, I’m going to throw a few more on here…
Pardon their weird appearance, I have issues adding photos in wordpress after I’ve published.
Happy, happy birthday to Molly! She is so precious.
My dog, Harold, turns six on Monday! I already have an entire post planned for him, too!
Happy Birthday Molly! Love the post!
Love this! Happy Birthday to Molly! We have a king charles cavalier that I am obsessed with. Her name is Maddie (after the city, Madison, that we live in) and I have to include her in at least one post per week.
Happy Birthday Molly! So cute.
Awww so sweet! Happy Birthday Molly! 🙂
Happy birthday Molly!
I don’t have a dog (or any pet) but I love dogs!
aww! My husband and I just got a puppy about 2 months ago now and we are head over heels for her! She’s a Cavachon named Zida 🙂
Happy Birthday Molly!
Aww, happy birthday Molly!
I have a pug named Atticus – he’s 13 weeks old right now!
OH my goodness! I adore your dog. We just got a baby golden retriever and he literally is my BFF too. I can’t wait until he’s grown up like your baby so we can run, play and frollick haha! Happy Birthday to your pup!
Happy birthday to Molly! She is such a pretty girl!!
I know how you feel about her – I feel the same way about my dog, Bella. My mom says that if I loved myself the way I love Bella, I’d be so much better off, hah! Dogs just have a way of always being there for you at the right moments. I feel so blessed to have Bella in my life. 🙂

Molly is so adorable She looks like a very loyal and friendly dog.
Um, if you guys ever need a dog sitter I am volunteering myself. Because I miss having a dog so bad and Molly is amazing.
Haha I’ve actually mentioned to my brother that I have a couple friends who I’m sure would be interested, we’d just have to figure out if you’d come up here to her, or if she’d go down there to you. She’s a great cuddler…
Aww, I love this tribute to your #1 girl! Happy Birthday, Molly! She really is the perfect companion. <3 My first family dog was a golden retriever, then we had a terrier, and now we have a yellow lab named Cali. I think she's pretty perfect, too. A total sweetheart cuddle-anytimer. 😀
Hope you had a wonderful weekend, Katie! Give the birthday girl a hug for me, k? <3
love it!! dogs are the best!!
Happy Birthday (belated now – sorry we are behind on reading blog posts) to Molly!!
