., announced today that Aarti Shah, a former senior investigative attorney at the International Trade Commission (ITC) has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C., office as a member of the Intellectual Property practice.
During her time with the ITC, Shah served in the Office of Unfair Import Investigations where she represented the United States as lead government counsel in investigations covering trade secrets, trademarks, and electrical, computer, mechanical, and chemical patents. Her notable cases in this role included serving as lead counsel in a patent infringement trial between Apple Inc. and Kodak over digital camera memory storage and power management and a patent infringement trial between Murata Manufacturing Corporation and Samsung regarding the structure of capacitors.
Shah also worked in the patent litigation department of Oblon, Spivak, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt where she focused on computer, electrical, mechanical, and pharmaceutical technologies.
