This all went down in 2011, when on Feb. 16, Kent drove to the volunteer’s house and planted in her unlocked car a bag of Vicodin, Percocet, marijuana, and a marijuana pipe behind her driver’s seat. After the woman, Kelli Peters, went to school to do her duty, Kent made a phone call with fake name and number to report his concern for a woman’s erratic driving and the drugs he had spotted in her back seat.
Police arrived on the scene and confirmed the presence of drugs, arresting Peters, but after investigation, locating her as teaching at the time of the phone call, and finding her house, after she submitted to a search, free of drugs.
Further investigation located Easter’s call as coming from a business center of a Newport Beach hotel, and video cameras confirmed it was him. Further investigation shows he and his wife texted throughout the entire operation and that she was complicit.
Kent Easter graduated from UCLA Law in 1998 and is a former partner at Wilson Sonsini, working lately as a securities litigation partner at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth. His wife graduated in 1998 from Boalt Hall, but her bar membership has not been renewed. She did work for a time at Easter & DeLeon L.L.P., and like her husband served as an associate at Wilson Sonsini.
If convicted, the two could face up to three years in prison. They are schedule for a July 1 arraignment at the Central Justice Center of Santa Ana.

This is almost as bad as planting fake WMD evidence on a nation and killing a million people because of the false claim!
99% of attorneys give the other 1% a bad name. It only takes 1% of attorneys to give the other 99% a bad reputation. I can recall one other UCLA law graduate who abused his standing as an officer of the court with slandering an upright individual. It is my hope these clowns — the Easters — get disbarred and that other feckless attorneys get what’s coming to them.
