Konnichiwa!
I’ve only had 4 classes this week (since I missed Monday) but I am somehow so exhausted and ready for the weekend. I think the weekend was busy but emotionally exhausting. I am SO READY for the weekend and some chill time. My apartment would also really appreciate some cleaning time…
So, while I’m contemplating my “To Clean List”, you all can get on to reading this week’s installment of Thursday Thoughts!
1. Elise on Hungry Hungry Hippie mentioned a new (to me) nut butter brand on her blog the other day: Reginald’s Homemade. I am trying to come up with a reason why I need to buy this sampler package:
2. I never get as great of search terms as Kelsey, but every once in a while I like to look through and find the interesting ones:
Ryan Gosling Workout (can I workout WITH Ryan Gosling?!?)
Balls Inserts (no words…)
Skip like a goat
Molly says hi (she DOES say hi!)
Sweaty runners (well… you’ll find that here, but why are you searching?)
Pretty albino people (I mean, I know my eyebrows are blond and all but…)
Living room giveaway (I would LOVE a living room!)
Photos of white penpals and their addresses (this is why I talk about blog safety)
3. Hilarious
When my parents call to ask me how law school is going.
I’m like:

4. On Tuesday’s post I asked you all what life lessons you’d learned and we got some really good ones! Here are just a few favorites:
- Be grateful for what you have right in front of you (Katy)
- Live in the moment and appreciate the small things rather than trying to plan every detail of the future (Lindsay)
- Be kinder too others, but also be kinder to ourselves (Beth)
- You can make mistakes and the world won’t end (Caitlin)
- If you’ve given something your best effort, that’s all you can do, it doesn’t help to worry! (Amy H.)
- It’s okay to ask for help (Katie)
5. Katie Fact: My forehead is wrinkly. I call them my “expression lines” because they’re there if I have any expression on my face. To get rid of the wrinkles I have to have a creepy expressionless face:
6. Katie Fact: Yes, I’m laughing hysterically at #5 right now. A trait I inherited from my mother: thinking I’m hilarious and laughing out loud at all the things I do that I think are hilarious. Usually no one else thinks it’s quite as funny as we do…
7. I’ve officially switched over to BlogLovin! I always used Google Reader, which was great and easy since it linked directly from my g-mail account. However, after hearing a lot about Bloglovin’ I decided to make the switch. Why? It’s really user friendly, google reader was just not updating certain blogs for weeks at a time, and with bloglovin, you can comment on someone’s blog from the dashboard AND they get a page-view. Win win!
8. Molly Fact: Molly is a snow monster. Rawr!
What’s a fact about you?
Do you use reader or bloglovin’ (or neither)?
Do you like the snow?
I need all those new peanut butters in my life! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Haha I think we all need them!
Aw, I’m glad I made the list! Does Molly love to eat snow? My dog Maggie loves to eat snow so much that she forgets the real reason why she’s outside and we have to remind her to do her business. I love expression face vs. creepy face…that’s awesome. I often have “expresion lines,” too. 🙂
Molly likes to shove her nose through the snow but I’m not sure if she eats it. I think she’s trying to kill it…
i think i might need to make the bloglovin’ switch too! especially because of the pageview/comment feature. that’s glorious. also i love your expressive lines – i have the same ones and i love them. i think my crows feet are a symbol that i love to smile and my life is really happy 🙂 also i don’t think you need a REASON to order that sampler pack but what about supporting small businesses? i think that’s a great reason!
Haha that’s a GREAT reason!
My forehead is THE EXACT SAME!!!
We are twins.
This list is adorable! I love reading other people’s search terms. It’s so weird to see what terms people are searching, like a little insight to something really private. Someone found my blog by “chewy wellies”. Who would want to chew wellies? Haha 🙂
Hahaha “chewy wellies”?! That’s a good one
I saw that nut butter on Elise’s blog too and am reallllly tempted to order some.
I honestly didn’t even know what Blog Lovin was until now! Ha! That’s good to know though… I use Google Reader, but maybe I’ll have to check out Blog Lovin now.
LOVE the photos of Molly! So stinkin’ cute.
I like google reader a lot, but I think what I love about bloglovin is that it gives a page-view whereas reader doesn’t unless you click over. I’m still getting used to it though!
Even though I currently have 5+ jars of nut butter in my pantry at the moment, I NEED all of those nut butters!
I think we all need them!
ha! pretty albino people! LOVE IT. be thankful you don’t get 23902 searches a day for RYAN GOSLING PISSING….or be jealous up to you!
Lol I’ll be thankful.
I keep trying to switch over to bloglovin but get totally overwhelmed by it. I like your serious face photo, I do that one way too much when I snap chat to my sister
Today is my first full day using it and it’s weird, but I think I’ll get used to it.
I use reader…I don’t think I’ve ever heard of blog lovin’. I’ll definitely be checking it out, thanks for the recommendation!
No problem! I’ve heard about it from other bloggers
I really want the peanut butter sampler…. ahhhh!
I use reader but bloglovin’ sounds interesting.
I know, it looks sooooo good!
I’m slowly transitioning to Bloglovin’. I put a few blogs on there that I don’t have in Reader. I haven’t figure out yet, though, how to add a blog that doesn’t have a Bloglovin’ link on their main page!
in the search at the top, just paste the blog’s link into it and it finds it for you!
Apparently those forehead wrinkles are caused by facial muscles…so just take pride that you have a strong face (thats what I tell myself)
Hahahaha that’s what I’ll tell myself!
Haha this post gave me a much needed laugh this morning! Also, law school GIFS rule. Also, I think I need Blog Lovin now! I didn’t know you could comment right from there! So much easier! That just made my google reader obsolete.
It’s a weird transition to Bloglovin’ but I’m liking it so far!
I also laugh hysterically at myself. I’m a teacher and do it quite often in class, so my students either think I’m crazy or full of myself!
Hahahaha I love that you do it in front of your students, I so would too if I was a teacher
Two reasons to buy that PB sample pack: NANA. HONEY. Sounds soooo delicious!
Haha seriously.
Bahahahah I love your facial expressions–they’re awesome!
and those search terms?? classy. hahah
I have some great facial expressions, my friends have the blessing of receiving random texts with pictures of my face…
Reason why you need to buy that sampler: so it can be your contribution to book club next month. And then I can try all of them without paying a single penny. Hahaha.
Hahaha you are a smart woman!
I use Bloglovin’ and I love it! I also have a wrinkly forehead when I made expressions. 🙂
Good to know you love Bloglovin’, I’m just getting the hang of it!
neither! i don’t even know the point of any…. :-/ can you teach??? i’m obsessed with picmonkey now thanks to you!!
Haha sure! Once I get the hang of bloglovin’ I’ll do a post on both of them.
So I’ve been using Google Reader, but Bloglovin’ sounds like it’s so much better! Definitely going to check it out and see if I can make the switch without too much fuss – I’ve just gotten so used to using Reader and it doesn’t seem to have a problem updating, so it’s one of those “why mess with it if it’s not broken” kind of deals.
Random fact about me? I was born with blue eyes and blonde hair. Now I have brown eyes and brown hair. I guess I changed my mind somewhere along the way? 😯
Switching form reader to bloglovin took some time, probably a half hour, since I had to subscribe to all the blogs I read on bloglovin.
Oh heavens those nut butters sound amazing! You’ve given me food for thought with BlogLovin, I could do with a serious reader clean out and perhaps moving to Bloglovin could be a good way to do that!
That’s what I did – I left a lot of old blogs behind that I don’t read much anymore
I should try bloglovin too… like you, there would be some blogs that would not update for weeks at a time! Molly is as adorable as ever miss Katie 🙂
Molly says thank you! She’s pretty full of herself by now…
Aww yay!! The fact that you liked my lesson makes my day 🙂 I am soooo over the snow haha (which I whine about on a daily basis in most of my posts), and #3 is genius….I seriously just fell off my chair laughing. Clearly, #6 is true about me as well 😉
Haha I wish we had more snow! It’s been raining all day today… yuck.
I use the WordPress reader. I know that it’s probably so old fashioned, but it works for me!
I didn’t even know that existed!
I want that sample pack haha! And your puppy is beyond cute. I love the snow, but get freezing after a while. I <3 <3 <3 the beach, though!
Haha I agree, the snow is fun but only for so long!
[…] discovered Reginald’s brand through a post by Peace, Love and Oats, and I may or may not have ordered this 10 jar sampler pack online yesterday… but really, […]
I just signed up for Bloglovin too and I love it! I’m still getting used to it (I’ve always used gReader too), but it’s really nice.
by the way I’ve been getting a kick out of your greetings this week at the beginning of each new post 🙂
Haha I’m glad you like all my greetings, and that you’re liking Bloglovin! I’m just getting used to it as well but I like it.
I just started using Bloglovin’ two months ago and I absolutely LOVE it. I will never go back to Google Reader. My favorite part is how easy it is to comment and that it gives bloggers pageviews — that’s awesome! I want to write a post about it soon, to try and get more bloggers to switch over.
I agree – I think it would be great if a lot of people could make the switch! That’s why I thought I should post about it too 🙂
[…] actually received these after winning a giveaway from Elise, but since I mentioned them on my blog I thought I should share my opinion with all of […]
