Thursday Thoughts

Hey everyone!

I hope you’re all having a good week! It’s been pretty snowy here in Chicago, and wearing rain boots every day is putting a damper on my clothing options… However, I LOVE the snow, so I’m a happy camper. I think it makes everything look like you’re in a different, magical world. Yes, I know I sound ridiculous. And with that, on to this week’s installment of Thursday Thoughts!

1. I didn’t watch the Oscars (no TV) but I did see this video of an interview with Jennifer Lawrence after winning Best Actress and died laughing.

2. I saw this tutorial on Pinterest for DIY “bride” shirts. You could use this for any kind of home-made shirt, like for a racing team or something! I’m just glad I actually read the whole tutorial, otherwise I wouldn’t have put the board in between the front and back of the shirt and ended up with a mess…

3. I know I say this almost every day, but I am addicted to Parenthood. I’m almost out of Netflix episodes… I hate when that happens.

4. Speaking of television, I’m DYING to see who Sean picks on the Bachelor. I literally woke up Tuesday morning and immediately watched so I could see who he let go this week before having it spoiled by social media.

5. I’ve been wanting to find some reason to use Rent the Runway, and finally I’ve got it – my cousin’s wedding! It’s a black-tie affair, so I’ve been looking through some really gorgeous full-length gowns. Now I just have to convince my mother that this is a good idea for her to finance…

6. This girl is the most entertaining person on g-chat ever. I was stifling laughter in two of my classes Monday because she and her coworker were so hilarious. I almost had to step out of the room.

7. I’m running my first race since the Turkey Trot 5K I ran back in November! I’m not 100% but I’m sooooo ready to get back out there! It will, however, be a fun race since it’s on a trail, but nevertheless I’m so ready and excited!

8. Laura wrote a great post this week about how her blog is an honest story about her life, about her “imperfect me” and I think all of us in the HLB blog world (bloggers and readers) should give it a read. Well put, Laura!

9. Alright, go off and have a great Thursday!

Inspire!

Have you ever used Rent the Runway?

Do you use gchat? Who do you talk to the most?

Any races or big events coming up for you?

  5. Your mom should totally finance that rent the runway experience. It sounds like an excellent thing to test out and a family event is an awesome place to do it! I have my first half in two weeks…I’m really excited 🙂

  6. That rental program looks so great! I’ve never hear of it but I want to check it out now. Parenthood is the BEST! I caught up too fast and now I’m stuck until next season! The shirts are so cute! I never saw that one but I think I want to make those for my girls!

  7. First, best of luck on the race Katie! You will do fabulously, even if you don’t think you are the most prepared you have been, it will be a good way to get back into the swing of things 🙂
I am also SO EXCITED/ANXIOUS to know who Sean picks! It’s the only reality show that I truly get into and proud of it haha
