Another week, another round of Thursday Thoughts! Not much happening with me this week, just trying to fight my general laziness and try to get a schedule going. Somehow I’ve become REALLY good about procrastination, but now that I have a better idea of what I’m looking for job-wise, I’m hoping to apply to a lot of jobs I’ve found over the next couple of days. Wooo!
1. I ran 5 miles last weekend! I met up with my friend, Danny, from law school and we ran 5 miles on the lakefront. My legs felt pretty tired so there’s no way I would have made it without Danny there to distract me, but I’m so excited! I looked at my Daily Mile account and I hadn’t run that far since March 30th!
2. After the run, I met up with Danny and another friend, Bre (HEY GUYS!) to watch the Florida/Tennessee Game at a bar. I have zero affiliation with either team, but since it was a Florida bar (all filled with FL fans) and Bre went to school there, I cheered them on (and got an awesome sticker)!!
3. I’m sure you ALL have noticed, but the Kansas City Chiefs are kicking butt so far this season (a very rare occurrence…), and every year my cousin and I say if the Chiefs go to the Super Bowl (which they will, of course), we will do anything in our power to be there. I looked up tickets just out of curiosity and was SHOCKED by the prices. The cheapest ticket is almost $2500!!!! I better have a real job come January…
4. While I was puppy sitting Molly last week I got to use the TV at her (yes HER) apartment and watched some great movies: Pretty Woman, Sixteen Candles and the always hilarious, Bridesmaids. “Help me, I’m poor.”
5. Several of you commented on this “Slimcado” that I put in yesterday’s One Word Wednesday post. No, I did not purchase the Slimcado and, no, I have no idea what it really is. I am, however, very intrigued and might buy it just to see what in the world a “slimcado” tastes like (although honestly it kind of frightens me).
6. I saw Kamilla link to this survey on Facebook yesterday and, of course, I had to take it myself. I was surprised to see that it was really accurate. I read all the various descriptions depending on the points you received and the only one that applied to me was the one I fell under with 32 points:
7. I should be getting some really big news next week (I can’t even talk about it without wanting to vomit. You’re welcome), so any prayers or positive vibes that it goes well would be appreciated. Or that I handle it well if not…
8. What’s a Thursday Thoughts post without MOLLY!?!?!?!
Are you into running right now?
Does your city have bars for certain sports teams or is that a Chicago thing?
What movie have you watched most recently?
Sending so many good vibes your way!!!!
Thanks, Davida!
#6 – I was given the same description :).
#7 – Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way!
Thanks! Haha and I’m not surprised we got the same description!
Sending you tons of prayers and good thoughts!!!! I just watched bridesmaids this weekend for the first time and thought it was hilarious! Loved it!
It is SO funny, glad you liked it!
I love coming to Chicago to watch Bears/Hawks/Cubs games! Here in Madison its all about Badgers and Packers 🙁
Guessing you’re not a Badgers or a Packers fan! You should just come hang out in Chicago with us!
Sending you good thoughts and positivity!
I watched Bridesmaids on Sunday on TV too! Ah the airplane scene…so funny.
Slimcado just sounds bizarre to me.
Ha yea the Slimcado is definitely a bit concerning…
I’m a UF student now and will graduate in May 2014. It never ceases to amaze me how the Gator Nation is truly everywhere. Go Gators! 🙂
Haha well congrats on the win!
Good vibes coming your way!
Oddly enough, the last movie I watched (well, the last half of it) was Bridesmaids when it was on TV this weekend. I still don’t understand why everyone thinks it’s so hilarious. It has a few funny moments/characters, but it didn’t make me bust a gut or anything.
Really? I thought it was hilarious, especially the airplane scene. Probably helped that I first saw in theaters with some friends and we quoted it for a while.
Sending you good vibes!!
Thanks, Sam!
Keeping my little fingers crossed for you <3.
Thank you, Carly!!!
Good luck with the big news next week! Prayers are with you!
Thanks you, I appreciate it!
Good luck!! I have an idea what it may be about…
Also whats the link to the quiz?? I want to try!
Thanks for the luck! And I’m so annoyed I forgot to link to the quiz… #bloggerfail
I LOVE all the school bars in Chicago- it’s so much fun!
I read before that the Slimcado is actually just another type of Avocado different from Haas that’s naturally less calories. My friend bought it and said it wasn’t as creamy. I’m not trying! 😉
Haha I don’t know if I’ll try it either… tempted but don’t want to waste my money on it.
MANY good vibes heading your way!!! <3
Awww thank you, Annette!
Go Chiefs!!! 🙂
Haha yea!
it’s been a really long time since I have watched a good movie 😉 been so busy – hopefully soon I can take a night off to catch up on some movies
Definitely! I always take the evening off 🙂
I love that quote! Another one I love is:
When you come to the edge of all the light you know and are about to drop off into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing one of two things will happnen: There will be solid ground to stand on or you will be taught to fly.
Oh that’s a great quote. Thanks, Caroline!
good luck for the very mysterious event!!
Thanks, Em!
Lots of positive vibes headed your way!
Thank you!
Ooh good luck and cant wait to hear the big news!
Yeah the slimcado is very intriguing- is it supposed to be lower calorie or something? Haha so strange.
I’m actually not loving running right now. It has been really hard for me to get into lately, but I think it’s better for me not to right now anyways 🙂
I guess it’s lower calorie? Haha I should google it. And I definitely go through phases with running, I took off over a month earlier in the year.
