Blumenthal says that the firm, which offered mortgage foreclosure rescue services to Connecticut consumers for up to $4,000 a pop, was in fact selling an arbitration service that the state courts offer for free. Furthermore, none of the lawyers working at the firm were licensed in Connecticut, according to Blumenthal.
Criminal charges against the firm, also operating as First Legal Group, may be pursued. There is no word on how many employees of the firm have lost their jobs.
your slogan “nothing but the truth” belies the factual allegations in your post. check your sources and investigate. dont let the state attorney general try their cases in the media. we want nothing but the truth as your slogan indicates.
How does “nothing but the truth” belie factual allegations? If they’re factual, they are the truth.
If you are aware of any falsehoods in the post, why would you not identify them?
Of course, everything in the post is true — all of the allegations have been sourced. The post does not deal with the truth of the allegations — how on Earth could I determine that?
exactly I will not do your job for you. Let us see how this unfolds. By the way,
Does the court also offer free attorneys when we homeowners are hit with court papers that show a sale date of your home. Please let me know.
Um, what?
I am aware that the arbitration services offered by the court are ineffective. The US government will agree with that.Because if you did your research, it would reveal that 85% of homeowners that are eligible for modifications are not getting them. The USTreasury has said this.So my
question to you is how many modifications result from these free arbitrations. Are the courts calling the lenders and the lenders attorneys -are they able to really decide for the lenders-half of these lawyers do not know even know who owns the note. Do you get to deal with the banks.I know I have been trying for a workout with my lender, and Icant tell you how many times they have lost documents and have asked you to resubmit over and over again .As far as this law firm you write about, I know for a fact they helped my friend who was facing a sale date and had previously been denied a workout. They got her a2.4% rate for five years- thats not bad.
What’s messed up is that the Conn AG lied about the firm being “illegal” and not actually being a real law firm. The link below will show that Kent Gross (A bar attorney) owned First Legal and that Kent Gross has no complaints against his bar. It’s going to be funny when that law firm comes after the Conn. AG like a storm with a class action lawsuit for defamation of character.
